We are a biotech company focusing on the discovery, development and commercialization of drug enhancing technologies that are used to create bio-better drugs with significant efficacy and safety advantage.
Our most advanced technology in terms of development is our proprietary NecLip technology that we are using in the development of a number of bio-better product candidates such as Long-Acting FVIII and Long-Acting rFVIIa. Adding to our technologies portfolio we recently started the development of our Rec-200 technology.
Recoly NV pipeline includes multiple products, all based on our proprietary technologies, in different development stages from marketing authorization filing through pivotal to pre-clinical studies.
Management
Robert Taub – Founder, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Taub founded Recoly in 1992. Prior to establishing Recoly, Mr. Taub was the co-founder of Octapharma, a Swiss plasma fractionation and pharmaceutical company, which successfully introduced innovative plasma derivative products to the market. Mr. Taub is also the founder of Omrix Biopharmaceuticals, where he served as president, chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors until December 2008 when Omrix was acquired by Johnson and Johnson following its IPO on NASDAQ in April 2006. Prior to Octapharma, Mr Taub held various general management and sales and marketing positions with Armour Pharmaceutical, Revlon Health Care Group, Baxter Travenol Laboratories, Inc., and Monsanto Company. He has a BA in languages from the University of Antwerp and an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.
Dr Moshe Baru – Chief Scientific Officer and Chief Operating Officer
Dr. Baru joined the company when established in 1992, and was responsible for the discovery and development of the NecLip technology. He is the inventor of several patents, has published research papers in various medical and scientific journals and speaks regularly at industry conferences. Dr. Baru holds a D.Sc. from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology and a B.Sc. from the Hebrew University.
Dr. Jack Spira - Vice President-Clinical and Medical Affairs
Dr. Spira joined Recoly in 2002. With more than 20 years of experience in medical and regulatory responsibilities, Dr. Spira brings to Recoly profound knowledge and understanding in product commercial development. Before joining Recoly he served as Medical Director in Pharmacia and head development in several biopharmaceutical companies. Dr Spira received an MD and PhD in tumor biology from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden.
Stephen Guth – Director
Mr. Guth graduated from the University of Maryland and is a US Certified Public Accountant. During his finance career, which spans over 30 years, Mr. Guth has been a CFO for companies in the healthcare industry, served in senior financial roles in US public companies and rose to senior manager with Deloitte & Touche. Mr. Guth currently renders finance and administrative consulting services principally to companies in the health care field.
